USAJOBS is seeking a Caterer for the JBLM Family and MWR - Business Operations Division. The role involves preparing contracts for events, analyzing occasion requirements, and serving as a technical advisor on protocol procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepares contracts for private functions, using established costs. Orders flowers, decorations, etc
Analyzes requirements of the occasion and recommends suitable services, menus and beverage items. Coordinates with club manager, food service staff and patrons
Draws up contracts making commitment for requested functions. Prepares all related invitation orders, party work sheets and contracts
Assists patrons with time schedules for weddings and other formal functions
Serves as technical advisor on correct protocol procedures

Required

One year of specialized work experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position
Education leading to bachelor's degree directly related to the duties to be performed
Must possess exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
A one-year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation
Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and possible holidays

Preferred

Post high school education related to the duties to be performed
Experience in sales and customer service
Knowledge and experience with catering management software
