Construction Internship/Co-Op (Summer 2026 or 6-month)
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. The Construction Internship role offers students the opportunity to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle and work alongside industry experts in managing complex construction projects.

Responsibilities
Support construction leaders and project managers with day-to-day project execution
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Participate in site walks, field coordination meetings, and contractor evaluations
Help track project progress and ensure construction activities align with design intent, safety standards, and client expectations
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors
Gain experience in project management tools and software used to plan, execute, and monitor large-scale projects
Learn to identify and communicate potential risks, issues, or opportunities in the field
Support procurement, installation, and start-up activities under the guidance of senior construction professionals
Experience the responsibility, pace, and collaboration of a full-time construction professional while developing your technical and leadership skills
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
A strong desire to learn and grow in the construction industry
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Willingness to travel and spend time on-site at project locations
