The OSP Assistant Engineer is responsible for completing OSP Engineering field surveys for telecommunications customers, ensuring quality requirements are met in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
Manage the OSP engineering process from project award through permit closeout and As-Built/Make Ready submittal
Accountable for total project scope and quality control
Permitting with state DOTs, cities, counties, railroads, environmental, and other permitting authorities
Make Ready/ As-Built process for aerial construction projects
Take detailed field notes for the design
Document changes of customer specifications
Track & report on job progress
Coordinate activities with pole owners / utilities regarding make–ready submittals, design and construction requirements and activities
Qualification
Required
Communication and customer service skills
Intermediate computer skills
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Motivation and self-direction in performing to critical deadlines
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent project and time management skills
Detail oriented and demonstrates good organizational skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and use good judgment in day-to-day activities
Analyzing issues and solving problems
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment successfully
Must be flexible to take on additional projects and job duties when required
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
