Lead Hardware Engineer
Nasdaq is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to join their team, where you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-speed circuits on FPGAs to enhance trading systems performance. The position involves translating system requirements into FPGA designs, simulating and debugging designs, and collaborating with engineers to integrate FPGA products with Nasdaq's systems.

Responsibilities
Translate system requirements into FPGA designs using HDL
Simulate and debug designs in a virtual environment to ensure functionality before hardware implementation. Create test benches and simulation scenarios
Implement designs on physical FPGA devices. Achieve timing closure and validate system performance
Work with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA products with Nasdaq trading systems
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in VHDL
Strong understanding of very high speed digital logic design
Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA devices
Knowledge of networking protocols and PCIe (high-speed DMA)
Familiarity with memory controllers (DDR, HBM)
Comfortable in a Linux environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
At least Bachelors' Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's a plus); or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 8 years experience in FPGA design
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Verilog/System Verilog is a plus
Altera/Intel is a plus
