Valley Bank is seeking a Mortgage Processor to manage a pipeline of loans and ensure timely processing. The role involves preparing regulatory disclosures, communicating with applicants and consultants, and reviewing loan files for accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

Prepare and mail required regulatory disclosures. Order appraisal and flood certification, and retrieve and review same

Score application via automated underwriting system and carefully review decision results

Communicate with applicant, Home Loan Consultant, and/or Home Loan Assistant to request required documentation

Verify accuracy of information upon receipt and edit LOS as needed

Review entire file, put in proper order and submit to underwriter

Manage an assigned pipeline of loans and ensure contingency and closing dates are met

Work with Home Loan Consultant to determine viable solutions to make deals work while balancing high credit quality

Update general comments with all activity on the loan

Request verifications (VOE, VOD, VOM, etc.), when applicable

Responsible for providing customers with periodic status updates regarding their loan application

Required

Good verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA underwriting guidelines

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months related experience in residential mortgage processing
