Marketplace Operations Manager (New York)

WorkWhile is on a mission to help workers earn a better living and live better lives. The Marketplace Operations Manager will lead the launch expansion and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficient market supply and demand, collaborating with various teams to optimize the worker experience.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day marketplace operations, making sure we are matching supply and demand in all of our markets - and striving to make this more efficient through process improvements and better tooling (Zapier, Retool)
Act as 'GM' of supply for one of our industry verticals, owning performance and economics
Leverage existing and invent new growth tactics to promote shifts to workers
Collaborate with the data science team to forecast and manage WorkWhile’s future labor needs, understand supply and demand, and help optimize models
Collaborate closely with marketing to manage the worker acquisition and re-engagement funnels to increase worker supply in new and existing markets
Develop the metrics and dashboards to help balance the marketplace and measure success. Build out processes to help the team scale
Support account management and sales as a strategic labor strategy partner, including writing decks, performing data analysis, and participating on customer calls
Solve day-to-day problems that help our workers and customers succeed

Required

2-4+ years experience in management consulting, offline operations, or other similar quantitative, strategic role
Self-starter able to drive projects to completion who is excited to be on a startup's founding team
Delights in creating order from ambiguity
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis is a must
Superb oral and written communications skills
Data fluency and ability to tell a story with metrics
Willing to work a shift once a quarter to keep learning!
Possess a 'yes we can' attitude with ability to come up with 'out of the box' ideas to get things done
Committed to improving the lives of low-wage workers
Bachelor's degree
