Responsibilities

Provide onsite support to DARPA's Strategic Technology Office (STO)

Aid in the management and development of programs in high-risk, high-reward research and development (R&D) projects

Conduct scientific and technical analysis

Develop broadly understandable explanatory documentation for deeply technical programs

Monitor ongoing research and development programs

Report to office leadership

Identify national security challenges and participate in the development of portfolio-level strategies to address them

Required

A Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance

Demonstrated ability at leading cross-functional teams

Deep technical fluency along with executive-level communication

Experience in field test planning and execution

Ability to work with military transition partners

Technical expertise is required in one or more of the following areas: High frequency over-the-horizon radar, High frequency communications, Undersea acoustic surveillance or propagation, Space weather and ionospheric radio propagation, Electronic warfare

Domestic and foreign travel is required

Preferred

Technical expertise in the following areas is desirable: Radio frequency hardware/software/software-defined systems, Electronic protection, Instrumentation or radar operations, Radio propagation / polar region radio propagation
