They are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Engineer to support drug discovery and development by building and maintaining computational pipelines and analyzing large-scale biological datasets.

Responsibilities
Pipeline & Framework Development: Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable, reproducible bioinformatics pipelines for the processing and analysis of large-scale omics data. Build internal computational frameworks for multi-omics integration and visualization to generate novel biological insights
Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis of genomic and transcriptomic datasets and proteomics to support target identification, validation, and biomarker discovery efforts
Tool & Infrastructure Management: Implement and manage computational tools, workflows, and databases. Utilize cloud computing and containerization technologies to ensure our infrastructure is efficient and scalable
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including bench scientists, biologists, and clinicians, to understand experimental design, interpret complex data, and communicate effectively
Innovation & Methodology: Stay current with the latest computational biology methods, algorithms, and software. Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance our team's analytical capabilities
Documentation: Maintain high-quality documentation for all code, pipelines, and analyses to ensure reproducibility and compliance
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or relevant quantitative discipline
2+ years of relevant post-graduate experience, preferably in a biotech or pharm setting
Strong programming skills with expertise in at least two of the following: Python, R, Java, C#
Familiarity with database management (SQL, NoSQL)
Demonstrated experience in building and managing automated bioinformatics workflow
Working knowledge with machine learning algorithms, Deep learning frameworks, LLM and AI agent, and their applications in drug discovery
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and HPC environments
Good understanding of biology
Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Preferred
Experience in a therapeutic area relevant to oncology and immunology
Familiarity with software development best practices and version control
Experience with data lake
