L3 Mac Support Specialist

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level support for macOS, Apple hardware (MacBook, iMac, etc.), and related peripherals
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams
Manage and deploy macOS updates, patches, and security configurations using MDM tools (e.g., Jamf Pro, Kandji)
Configure and maintain enterprise applications and services on Mac systems (e.g., VPN, email clients, collaboration tools)
Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure compliance with security policies and encryption standards
Maintain documentation for support procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides
Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes, including device provisioning and decommissioning
Participate in IT projects involving Mac infrastructure, automation, and user experience improvements
Train and mentor junior support staff on Mac-related technologies and best practices

Required

5+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on macOS environments
Expert knowledge of macOS Ventura and Sonoma, Apple MAC Book hardware, and native tools
Proficiency with MDM platforms (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle) and scripting (Bash, Python, AppleScript)
Familiarity with identity management (Okta, Azure AD), endpoint protection, and compliance frameworks
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN technologies
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills

Preferred

Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or equivalent certification preferred
Experience in a hybrid Windows/Mac enterprise environment
Knowledge of automation tools and CI/CD pipelines for Mac deployments
Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira) and remote support tools
