Management Company - Senior Accountant
Petra Funds Group is a provider for fund administration and infrastructure needs of Private Equity and Debt Funds. The Senior Accountant will maintain the books and records of clients, deliver high-quality accounting support, and actively participate in client meetings.

Responsibilities
Support multiple clients with all aspects of Management Company Accounting
Calculate and record Revenues and Expenses as appropriate
Ensure proper allocations and process client payables for third party vendors
Record inbound and outbound cash transactions and reconcile bank statements
Prepare client financial statements and supporting workbooks at Management Company, Holdings, and GP levels
Actively partner with Fund Administration teams, maintaining due to manager records and reporting
Prepare Portfolio Company invoices for reimbursement
Support annual audit & 1099 processes for clients
Prepare closing calendars and client meeting agendas
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting
3-5 years' experience preferably at an Alternative Asset Management firm
Solid understanding of the accounting close cycle and underlying processes including concepts around General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and T&E
Proficient in accounting systems; prior experience with Sage Intacct a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Desire to support external clients and ability to work on multiple client engagements concurrently
Positive attitude and outgoing personality with a strong team and firm first mentality
Desire to learn and progress professionally
