Start in 2026 SpringPACCAR is a Fortune 500 company recognized as a global leader in the commercial vehicle industry, and they are seeking a Summer 2026 Intern in Materials Planning. The intern will gain professional Supply Chain and Logistics experience by working closely with various teams to ensure materials arrive according to guidelines and assist with inventory management.

Responsibilities
Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that all material arrives at the plants according to guidelines
Serve as a focal point for Materials’ supplier management, monitor supplier quality, service, and delivery issues
Assist with the identification and disposition of surplus and obsolete material
Ownership of planning/ordering duties for a set of SKUs purchased from multiple sources ranging in spend value
Issue purchase and/or manual orders to suppliers to meet manufacturing schedules, maintain proper inventory levels, and navigate material planning issues
Develop and apply the skills used in Materials to coordinate engineering product changes
Coordinate special projects/programs as required
Host conference calls with internal and external personnel to resolve supply chain disruptions and EDI discrepancies
Communicate and escalate issues, information, and resolution to Materials Planner at the plant(s) and/or Corporate Commodity Manager, Directors, and Senior Leadership
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, including the ability to balance multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and able to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bachelor's Degree in progress focusing on Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related fields
Preferred
Experience using the Access database system preferred
Junior or senior standing preferred
