Designated Manager - Residential Services

Wild Coffee Human Resources is seeking a Designated Manager for BrightPath’s Community Residential Settings and Crisis Respite programs. The DM will provide operational leadership, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with developmental disabilities and serious mental illness, while overseeing site operations and program teams.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coach Designated Coordinators, Lead Staff, and Behavior Technicians, promoting accountability and professional growth
Participate in all direct service staff recruitment as necessary, professional training and ongoing performance evaluations and creating development opportunities
Assure that programs are adequately staffed and maintained within budget guidelines
Ensure high quality documentation and performance by making sure that appropriate quality assurance measures are in place
Attend meetings and facilitate communication between the management team and program staff
On call for emergencies and critical issues occurring Monday 8am- Friday 4pm
Screen referrals based on the needs of supported individuals, coordinate site tours and develop service contracts
Assist with the decision-making processes and intake related to selection of new participants to the Community Residential Setting program and Crisis Respite program
Conduct client intakes, admissions and assessments and assure that individualized service plans are developed, implemented, reviewed, revised as necessary and reported on as required by licenser/certification standard
Attend client support team meetings as needed
Provide and oversee high-quality comprehensive documentation regarding individualized service plans as required by licenser/certification standards. Conduct site audits, incident reviews, and develop corrective action plans
Participated as required in investigations and both the internal and external reporting of possible neglect or abuse of vulnerable adults. Identify incident patterns and implement corrective actions
Assist and oversee the development of daily client programming, behavioral tracking, and client outcome achievement percentages
Serve as a communication liaison between guardians and other service providers
Oversee and participate in the after-hours and weekend on-call rotation
Responsible for ensuring programs are run according to the organization’s mission and promoting a positive work environment
Create quality contracts, proposals, reports, presentations as needed
Develop and maintain programs, policies and procedures keeping up to date with state rules and legislative changes for all types of services
Develop and maintain strong community relationships through working with counties and regions to identify key need areas for new program development in response to community needs
Conduct program evaluations and quality assurance reviews
Serve on the Program Design Team to participate in continuous quality improvement
Participate in tracking, implementing, and developing required 245D staff training
Create Rate Exceptions utilizing cost drivers and specified client support needs
Manage site-level budgets, staffing patterns, and P&L performance; create and submit rate exception requests based on clinical and staffing needs
Execute financial metrics and P&L for each Residential Site
Drive ongoing fiscal integrity of new Residential Sites through management of proposed annual budget and monthly financial statement reporting

Required

Must meet the Designated Manager qualifications in accordance with 245D requirements
Minimum of 3 years supervisory level experience in disability or behavioral health services; 5+ preferred
A baccalaureate degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology (Master's Degree preferred) and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities
Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3)
Competent to perform the duties as required
Minimum of three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older

Preferred

5+ years supervisory level experience in disability or behavioral health services
Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology
