Start in 2026 SummerAugust Mack Environmental, Inc. is offering a Summer Internship program for 2026. The Closure Intern will work with the Closure team to assist Project Managers in environmental investigation and remediation activities, support project planning, and gain hands-on experience in the field.
Environmental Services
Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with tasks such as scheduling contractors, identifying subcontractors, etc
Budget and scope proposals under direction of Project Manager, Senior, or Principal
Become familiar with groundwater, soil, and/or vapor sampling methods
Assist and/or lead in project kick-off meetings and developing field instructions
Assist with the preparation and/or performance of field activities
Become familiar with the environmental regulations that drive Closure work
Conduct technical research associated with project or presentation submittals
Assist with project descriptions and updating resumes
Review company webinars to understand the breadth of the work performed in the various service areas at August Mack/EFS
Qualification
Required
Working towards a bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, engineering, or a related science degree
General knowledge of environmental field work
Strong organizational skills
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Strong communication skills and response time
Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills
