Responsibilities

Measures the percentage of tests executed vs. assigned (barring car issues, inclement weather)
Measures performance of number of retests. Tests executed, but rejected/kicked back due to not running properly per test plan
Maintain Transdev’s high standard of safety, inside and outside of the vehicle
Consistently demonstrate situational awareness, an understanding of the technology in his/her care, and a willingness to constantly adjust to changes in the environment
Operate with safety as the primary goal
Ensure test objectives are well defined and achieved
Respond quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments
Will work independently
Be the deputy for technology by communicating courteously always with management, engineers, and the public
Operate a vehicle 6-8 hours a day
Create and improve vehicle test plans and conduct field tests
Analyze collected data and concisely report results in written and oral format
Coordination of remote test site and on-site development events
Organize and manage logistics as related to vehicle tests and test equipment
Monitor software systems via laptop with constant focus while in a moving vehicle
Application of policies, procedures, and standards throughout includes taking personal responsibility for the safety of self and others during testing
Respond quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments
Monitor multiple software systems with constant focus
Will work independently
Adhere to Transdev requirements on confidentiality
Provide clear, concise, and accurate verbal and written feedback regarding the vehicle’s operation
Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests; and
All other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of 4 years of experience driving on public roads with a clean driving record
High School Diploma or GED
BS/BA degree or 2 years practical experience
Must have the ability to parallel park with minimal assistance
Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (Gmail, Hangouts, and Drive, including Sheets and Docs)
Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred but not required)
Able to type at least 40 WPM
Good organizational skills, test planning and scoping, resource marshaling (RAD/RS support, equipment) and updating jira
Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts
Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios
Adapt quickly to new and developing technology
Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation
Must be able to safely maneuver around autonomous vehicles
Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communication devices and vehicle status systems
Must be able to work either early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts and travel for up to one month at a time
Travel is required (up to 80%); ability to travel with short notice
Must be able to withstand working outdoors in inclement weather
Must be eager, self-starter, and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments
Punctual, reliable, and team player
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be 21 years old
Upon acceptance of work, must be willing to be enrolled in a commercial driving program, including a randomized drug testing program as required by California state law
Must have and maintain a driving record that meets California AVT program and/or other applicable regulations and laws, which presently include: Does not have more than 1 point on the driving record; Has not had any driver's license suspension or revocation based on driving or operating any vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drug in the past 10 years; Has not ever been the at-fault driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident that resulted in injury or death of any person
All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Employees must maintain an acceptable Driving Record suitable to being approved to drive as part of their regular duties
Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license in states and positions where it's required
If based in the United States, applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions for any employer at any time as required by the USCIS
