Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) of air vehicle systems
Develop control laws to meet air vehicle system linear and non-linear dynamic simulation models and integrate models into software and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments
Perform flying qualities analysis
Support non-linear and hardware-in-the-loop lab testing
Perform low level unit testing for software verification

Required

Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 2 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline and 1 years of relevant engineering experience
Knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft dynamics
Experience analyzing non-linear simulations of aircraft closed-loop responses
Experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data
Experience using Simulink to model dynamic systems
Familiarity with programming (C/C++, Python)
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred

Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering with controls concentration
Experience using linear control principles and tools to design feedback control systems
Experience using Simulink Test to perform software unit testing
Experience using Model Based System Engineering tools
Experience using Model Composer to create software architecture
Experience with MIL-STD-1797B
Experience with AS94900 or MIL-STD-9490
Experience for Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
