They are seeking a Cloud FinOps Lead who will be responsible for shaping and executing cloud cost optimization strategies, guiding executive decisions, and ensuring the platform delivers continuous business impact.

Responsibilities

Partner with C-level and senior stakeholders to develop and execute cloud cost optimization strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Analyze customer business goals and align platform configurations, reporting, and dashboards to their priorities

Provide actionable insights that improve cloud cost efficiency and prevent unnecessary spending

Drive measurable cost savings through rightsizing, elasticity planning, reserved instance and savings plan strategies, storage optimization, and workload modernization

Establish and refine governance models, tagging frameworks, and budget policies

Track and report realized savings versus potential opportunities, demonstrating ROI in business reviews

Work closely with Cloudgov.ai’s product and engineering teams to feed real-world customer needs into our product roadmap

Coordinate with partner organizations to deliver joint solutions that amplify savings

Support sales and customer success in expanding existing accounts through demonstrated results

Develop and deliver training, playbooks, and case studies to help customers and internal teams adopt FinOps best practices

Represent Cloudgov.ai in FinOps community discussions, industry webinars, and customer events

Required

5+ years in cloud cost management, FinOps, or cloud financial strategy

Proven track record of delivering significant cloud savings in enterprise environments

Deep understanding of cloud economics, cost allocation, and governance for AWS, Azure, and GCP

Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations

Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences

Preferred

FinOps Certified Professional/Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certifications
