Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of IT and technology implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business and operational needs
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and detailed schedules
Drive the entire project lifecycle—from concept creation through successful implementation
Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies where applicable
Maintain visibility into project status, progress, and deliverables for stakeholders
Facilitate cross-departmental discussions, including difficult conversations, to resolve conflicts and drive consensus
Collaborate with technical teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to break down complex projects into achievable plans
Provide clear, concise updates to leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure deliverables meet scope and quality expectations
Identify, track, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery
Ensure compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and IT governance standards relevant to utility operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5–10 years of IT project management experience, preferably within utilities, energy, or infrastructure environments
Proven ability to deliver large-scale technology implementations with minimal oversight
Strong facilitation skills—able to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and guide teams toward solutions
Demonstrated expertise in managing cross-functional dependencies and driving execution in complex environments
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
Preferred
PMP or Agile/Scrum certification
Prior experience managing technology rollouts in utilities or energy organizations
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting IT in the energy sector
Strong background with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar project management software
