Responsibilities

Tackle challenging performance/reliability issues in distributed systems spanning Bloomberg data centers and client PCs

Help define future application deployment mechanisms at Bloomberg for ten thousand engineers

Lead projects to transform business and Engineering requirements into reliable and performant products

Explore new technologies to improve our team and our systems

Work with C++, Javascript and Go communities

Qualification

Required

4+ years experience in software development using C++

Experience designing scalable and maintainable distributed systems

Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or Go

A good knowledge of SDLC best practices

Enthusiasm to work with stakeholders on product enhancements

Preferred

Experience with Go and Python

Interest in leading impactful cross-team projects

A desire to learn and keep up to date with latest technological trends

Enthusiasm to work with the C++ and JavaScript communities within Bloomberg as well cross-industry
