Responsibilities

Assist and execute environmental tests of space flight hardware using a variety of specialized equipment and tools, inclusive of electrodynamic shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, thermal cycling chambers, torque wrenches, adhesives, etc
Assists in installation and operation of test instrumentation and other specialized test equipment, inclusive of accelerometers, thermocouples, etc
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly procedures, and test procedures, and follow the prescribed steps accordingly
Work with engineering to define and refine standard operating procedures
Record, prepare, organize, and deliver test data, run logs, and other relevant documentation for inclusion in final test reports
Maintain environmental test lab equipment, perform resource 5S activities, etc
Support initiatives to maintain safe operations, ensure product quality, reduce lead time/labor hours, etc. through environmental test
Operate and capture data from test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, test racks, etc.)
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required

Required

High School Diploma or GED
6 months' experience as a Test technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required
Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
Mechanically and mathematically inclined
Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required

Preferred

2+ years' experience as a Test technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
Experience with thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC, shock, TVAC and/or acoustic testing
Experience working in 100,000 Class cleanrooms with ESD sensitive components
Experience working with test automation equipment (i.e. power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
