Responsibilities

Design power distribution, lighting controls, grounding and lightning protection systems with respect to buildings and infrastructure projects
Short circuit, over-current coordination, load and arc flash studies
Lighting photometric calculations
Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices
Technical report writing
Work on projects using Revit MEP
Contribute to the development of reports and electrical calculations
Work with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects
Attend meetings - listen, ask questions. Be involved in discussions with other disciplines and Architects to gain knowledge & experience

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Architectural Engineering (BSAE), or similar degree
Demonstrated interest in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems as applied to building design
Ability to thrive in fast paced environments with strong planning and organizational skills to manage shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and accessibly, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated leadership potential and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, solve problems creatively, and collaborate effectively
The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based collaboration
Comfortable presenting ideas and technical concepts to colleagues and clients at all levels
Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future

Preferred

EIT/ FE certification
Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools
Coursework or experience in building systems design, electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, medium voltage design, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards
Internship experience in a consulting firm, particularly with a focus on building electrical power system design
Exposure to electrical testing practices
Demonstrated interest in sustainability as evidenced by extracurricular activities or related projects
Academic research, coursework, or other experience with alternative energy systems and emerging technologies to the construction industry
Experience with automation or machine learning applications
Evidence of teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment, honor society, or student organizations
