They are seeking an HVAC - Mechanical Engineer In Training to assist in the design and production of construction documents for HVAC and plumbing projects under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Responsibilities
Assist HVAC and plumbing team in project delivery
Produce basic piping, duct and equipment layouts and sizing under supervision of Professional Engineer
Assist in the production of construction documents utilizing Revit building information modeling software (BIM)
Electronically draft plans, schedules, details, controls and flow diagrams for HVAC and plumbing systems
Perform site investigations to as-build existing HVAC and plumbing systems for remodel projects
Perform heating and cooling load calculations
Perform basic calculations for HVAC system and/or plumbing system design
Perform basic equipment selection of fans, pumps, and plumbing fixtures
Assist with checking shop drawings during construction administration
Develop an understanding of HVAC and plumbing system design for different building types
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2+ years of job-related experience in the HVAC industry
Basic knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CADD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, duct or piping sizing, chillers, heat pumps, VAV systems
Ability to effectively manage time
