Responsibilities
Demonstrate age-appropriate counseling practices that meet academic and personal/social needs
Deliver counseling services through classroom guidance lessons, small groups and individual counseling
Align the counseling program to school goals (School Improvement Plan)
Counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social or behavioral problems affecting their education
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Customize counseling services to meet individual student and school needs
Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills
Maintain community partnerships to support students and their families
Qualification
Required
Graduate student in a Masters program or Certificate program for School Counseling
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Master's Degree: Counseling
Special Service Provider Intern Authorization - Colorado Department of Education
Collaborative team player
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Maintains a generally positive attitude
Observes all District policies and procedures
Strong organizational and time management skills
