Fontana Regional Library is seeking an enthusiastic candidate for the part-time position of Branch Supervisor at the Nantahala Community Library. The role involves supervising library staff, providing library services, and assisting patrons in utilizing library resources.

Responsibilities

Supervising and training branch staff

Checking materials in and out

Creating, updating, and maintaining library user records

Collecting fines and fees

Ordering and inventorying supplies

Preparing reports and statistics

Assisting patrons in locating materials and using the library catalog

Assisting with readers advisory service

Shelving library materials and keeping shelves in order

Planning library programs and activities

Providing reference services

Facilitating patron usage of library computers, printers and Wi-Fi

Working cooperatively with staff throughout Fontana Regional Library to plan implement, and evaluate long and short-term goals and objectives

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Two years of customer service experience

Commitment to quality customer service

Excellent communication skills

Strong technology skills

One year of library experience

Previous library experience
