Law Practice
Responsibilities
Handle labor and employment cases, including single-plaintiff FEHA and wrongful termination matters as well as single-plaintiff wage and hour cases
Work in both pre-litigation and litigation departments
Draft settlement demand letters, mediation briefs, motions, oppositions, and discovery requests/responses
Draft pleadings, motions and briefs, take and defend depositions, handle court appearances, perform research, and prepare for and attend trials/arbitration hearings
Qualification
Required
Licensed to practice law in California
At least five (5) years of dedicated labor and employment litigation experience (FEHA, wrongful termination, and wage and hour)
You are diligent and carefully proofread your work
Strong writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting settlement demand letters, mediation briefs, motions (including MSJs), oppositions, and discovery requests/responses
Proven ability to draft pleadings, motions and briefs, take and defend depositions, handle court appearances, perform research, and prepare for and attend trials/arbitration hearings
You can relate to clients and defense counsel, and progress cases efficiently
Comfortable using Word, Adobe, Clio, Google Drive, Gmail, LexisNexis, and various legal AI tools
Preferred
Fluent in Spanish
Class and PAGA Experience
Big Law Experience
Trial and Arbitration Hearing Experience
