Responsibilities
Leading a hands-on Continuous Improvement project using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology
Conducting time studies and waste evaluations across production lines to identify inefficiencies
Applying Lean Manufacturing tools such as: Spaghetti diagrams, Line balancing,7 Wastes analysis, Kaizen events,5S audits, Standard work documentation
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and exploring various departments within the factory to gather insights and drive improvements
Preparing and delivering weekly presentations to site management to report progress, findings, and recommendations
Engaging in change management by challenging the status quo and working closely with production employees to implement sustainable changes
Documenting project milestones, data analysis, and implementing solutions to support long-term operational excellence
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field, in the United States
Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality
Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
