Responsibilities

Maintain ABB’s suite of quality control hardware and software. This includes but is not limited to; cleaning debris from sensors, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with the frame and sensor package, troubleshooting the computer system and HMI/control software, and maintaining the working state of the entire ABB quality control solution at site. Handle customer questions about the state of the ABB system
Handle customer service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and working to solve technical problems on-site. Deal directly with, and communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors, and other ABB personnel in support of service operations
Troubleshoot and repair equipment applying own technical knowledge and experience to resolve problems. Training on ABB products and services will be provided; however, a basic understanding of electrical theory and electrical safety is required for the training to be beneficial
When required, play an active role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations, or new functionality for customers. Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments

Required

Associates Degree in a related field and 8 years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation or process control related work/military experience required or HS Diploma and 10 years of related work/military experience required
Candidates must know how to use electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely
Candidates must be comfortable using basic hand tools
Candidates should be able to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC and perform preventive maintenance using electrical test equipment
Candidate should know how to identify voltage systems that are above the level 240 VAC/870 VDC so they can safely avoid contact
Ability to read electrical drawings and utilize for troubleshooting electrical systems is required

Preferred

Mechanical/Electrical aptitude is strongly preferred
