Responsibilities

Help solve problems and mitigate impacts and issues to customers with top priority
Work across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and build relationships
Support production environments comprising of Java based applications using the Spring boot/batch framework and Event based frameworks
Design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; report any suspected information security violation or breach; complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines

Required

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience
Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design
Support of production environments comprising of Java based applications using the Spring boot/batch framework and Event based frameworks
Working knowledge of database technologies such as Postgres, Cassandra and Redis
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Experience in dealing with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency
Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
Experience in working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships
