Responsibilities

Provide specially designed instruction and support to students in grades 3-5 with disabilities who primarily exhibit significant behavioral and emotional challenges
Work in a collaborative co-teaching resource setting with a second Special Education Teacher
Provide small-group and intensive one-on-one instruction to target student academic and behavioral goals
Develop, implement, and monitor legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Emphasize positive behavior interventions and social-emotional growth, in alignment with Hawai'i State Department of Education (HIDOE) guidelines and federal regulations (IDEA)

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire

Plan and facilitate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
