Responsibilities
Preparing correspondence and legal documents (including notice letters, pleadings, discovery motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and Releases, as well as settlement- and court-conference summaries and pre-trial memoranda)
Performing investigative inquiries and background research, as well as ensuring preservation of loss scenes and physical evidence, coordinating expert assignments, and scheduling scene inspections and evidence exams
Managing trial preparation: marshaling exhibits, pleadings, subpoenas, witnesses, etc
Interviewing experts as to findings and opinions, and conferring with lawyers re: same
Drafting status updates for clients
Qualification
Required
Experience as a litigation paralegal
High-level organizational abilities
Inclination toward persistent follow-up
Ability to prepare correspondence and legal documents (including notice letters, pleadings, discovery motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and Releases, as well as settlement- and court-conference summaries and pre-trial memoranda)
Ability to perform investigative inquiries and background research
Ability to ensure preservation of loss scenes and physical evidence
Ability to coordinate expert assignments and schedule scene inspections and evidence exams
Ability to manage trial preparation: marshaling exhibits, pleadings, subpoenas, witnesses, etc
Ability to interview experts as to findings and opinions
