Line Product Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Develop opportunities to reduce the direct cost of the product, introducing and validating alternative materials and optimizing processes
Drive and foster a culture of innovation within the team
Oversee efficient project execution in accordance with gate model, internal procedures as well as industry standards to ensure project results are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget
Keep abreast of new Switches technology and market developments to provide input to R&D projects
Collaborate with other Agile teams and units, R&D functions, product management, sales, operations and corporate research centers to deliver cost competitive breakers technologies and designs and overall customer satisfaction
Develop, secure, and facilitate innovation process and ensure key performance indicators are in place, tracked and continuously improved upon
Promote outsourcing and double sourcing activities, establishing a strong connection with Procurement and Planning
Support the quality level improvement for processes and products manufactured on site
Develop a strong team with clear governance and accountability in terms of roles and responsibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
5 years of Engineering experience including 2 years of Automatic Transfer Switch product experience is a plus
Positive and proactive mindset, collaborative, clear in communication and result oriented personality that enjoys solving problems
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, equipment and tools
Leadership skills and ability to manage a team
Demonstrated experience with MS Office, 2D/3D CAD systems
Knowledge and experience with ABB Smart Power products, especially Automatic Transfer Switch product families, are a plus

Knowledge about Windchill and Engineering Change implementation
Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States
