Responsibilities

Support Wellstar’s expanded behavioral health services for the child and adolescent population in east Paulding County

Work with a multi-disciplinary team of child/adolescent psychiatrists, a pediatric neuropsychologist, and masters-level therapists

Provide psychological testing and evidence-based therapy and intervention services to support the needs of children, adolescents, and their families

Conduct brief (and when necessary more comprehensive) psychological testing using a variety of methods

Write psychological reports and document using Wellstar’s electronic medical record (i.e. Epic)

Allocate 50% time to the provision of brief interventions using evidence-based methods

Consult regularly with Wellstar child/adolescent psychiatrists, therapists, pediatricians, etc

Provide intermittent clinical supervision, conduct staff trainings, and serve on committees under the Behavioral Health and Pediatric Service Line structures

Required

a doctorate degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in clinical psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA)

completion of an APA-accredited internship

completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in an area of Clinical Psychology

licensure or license-eligibility as a Psychologist in the State of Georgia

advanced training on internship/fellowship working with a child/adolescent population

possess board-certification in Clinical Child/Adolescent Psychology within 36 months of the date of hire
