Responsibilities
Azure Expertise: Proficient understanding of Azure services, particularly those related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Virtualization Skills: Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware and hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/VDI) for deployment, configuration, management and support
Networking Knowledge: Understanding of networking principles and how they apply to virtual desktop environments. Specific knowledge of ports and applications required for traversing agency firewall configurations
Windows Server: Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and their integration with Azure
Application Server: Familiarity with SCCM / OSD and Intune / AutoPilot for systems Management and provisioning
Security Understanding: Knowledge of security measures and best practices for securing virtual desktop environments
Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to virtual desktop performance and connectivity
Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks
Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills, as the role often involves working with other IT professionals and departments
Continuous Learning: Given the evolving nature of technology, a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest Azure and VDI advancements
Qualification
Required
The applicant will need to reside in Texas. Preferred no more than 1 hour from Austin, Texas
Minimum of 5+ Years of experience
