Responsibilities

Analyzes and authors user requirements

Evaluates procedures and identifies problems to develop automated solutions in new or existing applications

Regarded as a knowledge expert for certain complex business processes

Develop code to implement functionality and create design documentation for the solution

Responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of application architecture and design in accordance with industry standards related to the target platform

Identifies deviations in the solution design from the IT strategic plan and proposes appropriate solutions

Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs to support data integration and application interoperability across enterprise systems

Provides technical direction and guidance to the architecture team related to application development related topics, including research and design activities when required

Provides project/task estimates to aid in the project planning process

Works closely with project managers, other team members and external resources in the development and support of applications

Must communicate well with both business users and highly technical resources

Participates in application code review sessions

Applies application development skills to assist the group in completing projects, often addressing the most complex problems

Performs unit testing and supports quality assurance and user acceptance testing

Creates technical documentation and performs technical presentations as required

Provides level one support for certain applications in the production environment by responding to end user questions and issues

Required

Bachelors or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience

Seven or more years of experience with proficiency in targeted technologies: Java Spring boot, Micro services architecture and docker, Developing REST APIs and exposure to other technologies (AWS knowledge, API Management, Oracle Application Express, PL/SQL, Automated testing tools, Oracle BI suite, agile scrum)

Certification in at least one targeted technology required

Must be able to lead/assist in trouble shooting advanced technical problems

Knowledge of industry best practices

Preferred

Experience in financial industry and the unique business model for the Bank is preferred

Experience in deploying container applications in AWS cloud is preferred

Knowledge in leveraging Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC) to build and orchestrate data pipelines, and data exchange between cloud and/or on-premise platforms is preferred
