Technical Director

Responsibilities
Execute our Annual Work Portfolio that aligns with the priorities and business goals of our client
Lead the technical department to achieve long-term success and growth
Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing technical team
Encourage a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and problem-solving
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that drive business growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage
Ensure our technical solutions meet and exceed customer expectations
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure their satisfaction
Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends and fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation within the technical team
Oversee the resolution of technical challenges and issues, ensuring that solutions are efficient, effective, and meet the highest quality standards
Work closely with peers throughout Dynamic Campus to align technical initiatives with overall company strategies
Foster strong collaboration
Promote teamwork and a positive work environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and supported in their professional growth
Create an environment that encourages learning, growth, and a sense of belonging among team members
Serve as a hands-on technical resource during peak periods or staffing shortages, stepping in to support classroom technology, infrastructure, or AV systems to ensure uninterrupted academic and administrative operations
Working with the Director to oversee the completion of projects and ensure that all technical needs
Providing accurate equipment costs and setup time estimates
Leading the technical strategy, system architecture, and project execution across multiple departments
Driving innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies that enhance company capabilities
Ensuring compliance with industry standards, data security policies, and regulatory requirements
Handling budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations for technical projects
Troubleshooting critical technical challenges and providing strategic solutions to complex problems
Establishing and maintaining technical documentation, process guidelines, and quality assurance protocols
Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders and executives
Oversee day-to-day operations of technology services, including network infrastructure, classroom technology, audiovisual systems, and specialized academic technology
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, CIS, or related field
Proven experience in a technology leadership role within higher education
Strong technical background and understanding of emerging technologies
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
Demonstrated ability to foster innovation and promote a positive work culture
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional customer service orientation
A desire to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed to move equipment
Must be able to sit for long periods at a time and or stand for long periods at a time
Must be able to use a ladder or crawl under desks and tight spaces as needed for troubleshooting equipment, cabling, projectors, etc
