CDR Maguire is a full-service transportation engineering firm, and they are seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to provide supervision and engineering/construction management support for projects in District 1 & 7. The role involves directing complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs, planning work for staff, and ensuring compliance with Department standards.

Responsibilities

Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program

Plans and organizes the work of subordinate and staff members

Develops and/or reviews policies, methods, practices, and procedures

Reviews programs for conformance with Department standards

Qualification

Civil Engineering degreeP.E. license in FloridaSenior Project Engineer experienceMajor road construction experienceMajor bridge construction experienceCTQP Quality Control Manager certificationFDOT Advanced MOT certificationEffective communication skills

Required

Civil Engineering degree

P.E. license in the state of Florida (or if registered in another state, ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within initial six months of employment)

Prior relevant work experience in the Tampa or Orlando area (required)

Five (5) years of Senior Project Engineer experience (required) with an overall ten (10) years of related engineering experience

Minimum of two (2) of the years of related experience must be in major road or bridge construction and five (5) years in major bridge construction

For non-degreed personnel the aforementioned registration and ten (10) years of engineering experience (two (2) years of which are in major road or bridge construction)

Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing

Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination

FDOT Advanced MOT certification
