High School Physics Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)
Zeta Charter Schools is dedicated to providing high-quality education and is excited to launch its first high school class in the 2026-27 school year. They are seeking a Physics Teacher who will implement inquiry-driven lessons, build a supportive classroom culture, and collaborate with colleagues to create a rigorous educational environment.

Responsibilities
Implement inquiry-driven, experiment-based lessons that engage students in rigorous scientific thinking—designing investigations, analyzing data, and applying physics concepts to real-world phenomena
Demonstrate deep expertise in high school physics content and practices, guiding students to master key concepts, develop strong problem-solving skills, and excel on assessments
Build a classroom culture where curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration thrive—and where students feel empowered to question, explore, and innovate
Serve as an Advisor to a small cohort of students, developing meaningful relationships with families and supporting each student’s personal and academic growth
Collaborate with colleagues to co-create a rigorous, joyful founding high school environment rooted in Zeta’s mission and values
Use data, feedback, and student work to assess learning, inform instruction, and continuously refine practice
Embrace the “start-up spirit” of a founding team—adapting quickly, solving problems creatively, and building systems that will define the future of Zeta High School
Engage in ongoing professional learning and coaching to sharpen your craft and contribute to a team that believes in doing hard things exceptionally well
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (physics or math degree preferred)
At least 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience
Proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth
Deep expertise in high school physics content and practices
Ability to implement inquiry-driven, experiment-based lessons
Ability to build a classroom culture where curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration thrive
Ability to serve as an Advisor to a small cohort of students
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to co-create a rigorous, joyful founding high school environment
Ability to use data, feedback, and student work to assess learning and inform instruction
Ability to embrace the 'start-up spirit' of a founding team
Engagement in ongoing professional learning and coaching
