Responsibilities

Implement inquiry-driven, discussion-rich AP World History: Modern lessons that engage students in rigorous historical thinking—analyzing evidence, constructing arguments, and connecting global patterns across time
Demonstrate deep expertise in AP World History: Modern content and skills, guiding students to master key concepts and excel on the AP exam
Build a classroom culture where curiosity, critical thinking, and debate thrive—and where students feel empowered to explore and challenge ideas
Serve as an Advisor to a small cohort of students, developing meaningful relationships with families and supporting each student’s personal and academic growth
Collaborate with colleagues to co-create a rigorous, joyful founding high school environment rooted in Zeta’s mission and values
Use data, feedback, and student work to assess learning and continuously refine instruction
Embrace the “start-up spirit” of a founding team—adapting quickly, solving problems creatively, and building systems that will define the future of Zeta High School
Engage in ongoing professional learning and coaching to sharpen your craft and contribute to a team that believes in doing hard things exceptionally well

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree
At least 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience
NYS certification preferred
Proven record of propelling extraordinary student growth
