Responsibilities
Manage the Site Safety and Accident Prevention Programs. Conduct regular safety inspections and briefings. Ensure all personnel and third parties follow industry and company developed safety protocols and emergency procedures
Act as the on-site technical & safety expert
Provide training & mentorship for site technicians
Operate and maintain the plant in compliance with established standards and procedures
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
Apply technical skills to troubleshoot electrical components using equipment such as digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and IV curve tracers
Perform daily mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and optimally
Manage and support contractors and OEM vendors ensuring
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including work orders, time entries, and emergency response protocols
Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory usage. Ensure work orders are updated with all maintenance and parts consumption details
Maintain inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels of equipment and materials. This includes spare parts usage, replenishment, and reporting
Ensure high-quality control of tools, vehicles, and materials
Pursue continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements
Maintain site vegetation through routine mowing and spraying
May be required to work outside of normal business hours as necessary. Maintain on-call rotation schedule
Qualification
Required
OSHA 30-Hour Training for General Industry
NFPA 70E – Workplace Electrical Safety
First Aid, CPR, AED
Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician with 3+ years' experience; Knowledgeable of renewable energy peculiarities; expertise in DC array technology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
