Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. The Safety Strategy and Operations Intern will lead a critical independent safety process initiative and support the team’s safety efforts, providing a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive project while also contributing to the team's overall mission.

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science or data science
Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship
Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
Experience with data, data mining, or data analysis
Experience with vehicle safety and safety standards
Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills
High-level research and report-writing abilities

Preferred

Prior internship(s) at an AV developer/vehicle manufacturer/supplier is a plus
