Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain the data infrastructure, software, analytic tools and pipelines enabling innovative genomic testing to support clinical care and discovery at CHLA
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree with training and appropriately demonstrated accomplishments in Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or related field(s)
In-depth knowledge of genomics
Familiarity with cutting-edge methodologies and technologies applied for clinical care and discovery
Experience in developing and applying algorithms, analytic pipelines, software and AI/ML tools for whole-genome, whole-exome, panel sequencing, genotyping, RNA-Seq data, and liquid biopsy for either clinical or research purposes
Computational expertise in designing and developing web- and cloud-based bioinformatics next generation sequencing data analysis solutions
Programming skills (Java, R, Perl, Python, etc.)
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, mongoDB)
Big data analytics
