Responsibilities

Optimizing products by driving Product and Process Understanding (PPU) efforts, leading strategic raw material substitution projects and supporting cost reduction projects
Ensuring consistent product performance and stability of existing products, by leading product improvement projects, as needed
Maintaining product standards and specifications, owning claims re-substantiation process
Leading/supporting change management process and validating product performance for changes in formulation, process or raw materials
Driving scale-up activities as a core team member for new product introductions
Developing and implementing product control plans
Collaborating with cross functional teams (product development, application engineering, business, manufacturing and quality teams), global laboratories and manufacturing sites
Utilizing strong communication skills to inspire, influence, motivate and teach other team members

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
6 months of manufacturing and/or process or product engineering experience (Internship and/or co-op experience is considered qualifying) in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, valid Driver's License
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Preferred

Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
Two (2) combined years experience gathering product information and/ or, setting specifications, and/or developing test methods and/or translating to product requirements in a private, public, government or military environment
Experience working in Quality and/or Manufacturing/Production and/or Product Development and/ or Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment
Experience with scaling up technology and/or products to large scale manufacturing
Prioritization Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that critical deadlines are met without compromising quality
Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change
