Lecturer - CE 100: Introduction to Computer Engineering (Spring 2026)
California State University San Marcos is seeking a part-time lecturer for Spring 2026 to teach CE 100: Introduction to Computer Engineering. The successful candidate will collaborate with the lecture instructor and teach the laboratory portion of the course, introducing students to the field of computer engineering through hands-on exercises and projects.

Collaborate with the lecture instructor and teach the laboratory portion of the course
Introduce the field of computer engineering via hands-on exercises and projects including electrical measurement tools
Cover current and future trends and challenges in various fields of computing
Explore career and professional development opportunities
Qualification
Required
A master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Teaching experience in an electrical engineering or related class
Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment
Preferred
Teaching experience with VHDL or Verilog Programming for Xilinx, or an engineering class
Electrical Engineering industry or research experience
Experience with ABET reporting
Demonstrated commitment to actively engaging undergraduates in the classroom or laboratory through research-informed pedagogical practices
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching
