Responsibilities

Advise district/school administrators on all aspects of personnel management, including employee discipline, dismissal, and release

Guide clients in responding to California Public Records Act requests, complying with the Brown Act, and avoiding and addressing conflicts of interest

Represent local educational agencies in administrative hearings

Counsel management on questions involving employee leaves of absence and disability accommodations

Assist Title IX and Uniform Complaint Officers with administering the complaint process in accordance with law and policy

Investigate and/or serve as a decision-maker in Title IX cases and other matters involving students and employees

Provide relevant trainings for clients on topics of interest and participate in internal and external conferences and marketing opportunities
