Epic Interface Analyst/Programmer - Intermediate
University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an Epic Interface Analyst/Programmer to develop and modify moderately complex information systems. The role involves defining system scope, preparing specifications, and maintaining programs while collaborating with project teams and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Collaborates in the researching, designing, programming, testing, debugging, training, documenting, releasing, installing, and supporting information systems
Develops specifications and conducts research. Designs, creates, develops, or enhances computer applications. Prepares documents in accordance with information system programming standards, policies, and procedures
Collaborates in applications systems analysis and programming activities
Participates in project teams, special projects, and other tasks as assigned by director or designated team leader
Provides positive customer relations across the range of information system activities including support services, UMMC business units, and vendors
Promotes corporate integrity through compliance with UMMC and information technology policies and procedures

Qualification
Required
Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and two (2) years of integration or interface development experience
Certification or accreditation in Epic Bridges and/or Epic Data Courier. If not Epic certified or accredited in either module, then an Epic certification or accreditation for Bridges or Data Courier required post-hire within six (6) months
An Epic assessment will be given to those candidates who pass the initial review step of the interview process
Knowledge of information systems, analysis, and programming
Knowledge of system features and integration capabilities
Verbal and written communication skills
Analytical, programming, and troubleshooting skills
Interpersonal skills
Ability to create, design, or enhance computer applications
Ability to program, test, debug, document, or install systems
Ability to write programs
Ability to prepare reports and maintain records and documentation
Preferred
Information systems experience in healthcare or healthcare integration is preferred
