Responsibilities
The intern will work on real-world projects related to equipment reliability, predictive maintenance, and asset management in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
This intern will revise preventative maintenance for critical utilities equipment based on OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and historical performance, access spare parts, and optimize internal vs. external work
Other projects that the intern may work on is working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and asset performance, assist in reliability engineering studies, and assist in analyzing equipment performance for reliability improvements
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Reliability, Industrial, Biomedical, Electrical, or related field)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in reliability engineering and maintenance
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail including the ability to accomplish a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved
Knowledge of maintenance strategies like TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a proactive, positive and constructive manner
Highly motivated, self-driven individual with passion working within pharmaceutical industry
