Responsibilities

Synthesize complex data and insights to guide the Commercial team in deal structuring, risk analysis, negotiation, and execution
Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical tools and models to support strategic planning and business development initiatives
Manage business development tracking systems to monitor opportunities, assess progress, and support project execution through completion
Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and memoranda for internal leadership, Board of Directors, joint venture partners, and external stakeholders
Conduct in-depth industry research and market analysis to identify trends, assess competitive landscapes, and uncover new business opportunities
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, projects, legal, and other teams to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with organizational goals
Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism, tact, and clarity in both verbal and written forms
Maintain consistent attendance and performance, including flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed
Uphold a strong commitment to safety for self, colleagues, company assets, and the public
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the energy sector, with emphasis on electricity and natural gas markets
Proven expertise in due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis supporting strategic decision-making
Strong knowledge of midstream, upstream, power, or decarbonized energy industries
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels and external partners
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within teams
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Adaptability to shifting priorities and demands
Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines

Preferred

Financial or commercial experience in midstream and/or power industries
Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
