Lecturer - EE 110: Electrical Engineering Clinic I (Spring 2026)

California State University San Marcos is seeking a part-time lecturer for Spring 2026 to teach EE 110: Electrical Engineering Clinic I. The successful candidate will collaborate with the lecture instructor and teach the laboratory portion of the course, focusing on basic practices and skills of instrumentation and process control tools in Electrical Engineering.

Collaborate with the lecture instructor and teach the laboratory portion of the course
Teach the basic practices and skills of instrumentation and process control tools in Electrical Engineering
Cover PLC systems, Ladder Logic coding, LabVIEW control process, and modeling of a controlled process
Guide students to finish the course by doing a project and giving a presentation

Required

A master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Teaching experience in an electrical engineering or related class
Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment

Preferred

Teaching experience with VHDL or Verilog Programming for Xilinx, or an engineering class
Electrical Engineering industry or research experience
Experience with ABET reporting
Demonstrated commitment to actively engaging undergraduates in the classroom or laboratory through research-informed pedagogical practices
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching
