Program Coordinator - Preschool (Part Time)

NEOGOV is seeking a Preschool Program Coordinator to oversee early childhood programs for children aged 0–5 at the City of Menasha. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating programs while ensuring a welcoming environment for families and children.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, implement, and evaluate early childhood recreation programs and activities for children ages 0–5 and, when designed, their caregivers
Coordinate and implement materials, volunteers and staff, and logistics for regular programs including STEM for Tots, & Me, Family Flips, and Preschool Playtime
Develop age-appropriate content that promotes creativity, movement, school-readiness, and social interaction
Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for young children and families
Build and maintain partnerships with schools, libraries, community groups, and early childhood organizations
Support the evaluation and reimagination of the Tiny Tots program during its pause
Identify new program opportunities based on community needs and trends in early childhood education
Aid in the registration, data collection, and support department efforts to improve program access and quality. Complete the necessary paperwork including attendance, program recaps, and incident reports
Inspect the programming area and equipment and recommend maintenance and repair as needed
Communicate effectively with volunteers and staff
Provide on-site leadership at select programs and assist with seasonal events as needed and as available

Required

Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with individuals at various levels both within and outside the Department
Experience working with children required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, volunteers, other City employees and the public
Working knowledge of the department's activity
At least three years of relevant work experience
First Aid/CPR certification (may be obtained after hire)

Preferred

Experience related to working with children and early education is preferred
Bilingual in Spanish/English is desirable
Some college coursework preferred
