Responsibilities
Create and maintain robust operating environments for key technologies and applications
Maintain virtualized infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud
Plan and execute upgrades to operating systems on deployed servers
Deploy and provision new server hardware
Be an integral part of many technology phases: Evaluation, procurement, design, configuration, deployment, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, restoration and recovery
Willing to participate in on-call rotation in line with the industry practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
5+ years of related experience
Strong fundamental Linux Administration skills (LFCS or RHCE level)
Strong fundamental Windows Administration skills (MCSE or MCWSHAA level)
Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Powershell and/or Bash
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience working with VMware vCenter and ESXi
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
Confidence in own ideas along with openness to others' ideas
Preferred
Experience with SQL/Postgres/Database experience
Experience with automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Rundeck etc.)
Experience with HashiCorp products like Terraform and Vault
Experience with log analysis using Splunk
Experience in transforming legacy applications to cloud
Experience in system performance tuning and security hardening
Experience in administering databases such as Postgres
Experience working with any of the big public cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure
