Responsibilities

You will collaborate with vendors on bug fixes and new features, and liaise with peers in Operations/Engineering and Architecture to ensure alignment of technical requirements
Thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will be multitasking and providing operational support for the Backbone
You will also work closely with multiple multi-functional teams to resolve critical network incidents
In this role, you will prioritize the customer experience and drive operational excellence through strong technical leadership and mentorship

Required

5 + years of network operations and/or network design background
In-depth experience in TCP/IP (v4 and v6), BGP and MPLS technologies
Deep understanding of underlying LAN/WAN technologies and protocols
Experience supporting large-scale peering/transit networks, with a sound knowledge of sophisticated traffic engineering and Internet routing policies
Hands-on experience with carrier grade routers and operating systems
Proficiency in MacOS, Linux, or variations of UNIX
Working knowledge of DWDM Optical Transport technologies

Preferred

BS or equivalent preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills, including confirmed abilities to adapt to multifaceted project environments, while able to lead multiple concurrent projects
Extensive troubleshooting methodology and experience in an operational environment
Strong software development skills, including Python programming and Ansible/Shell scripting is highly regarded
Advanced industry network certifications preferred
